Principal Profile

Dr. Moulisha Biswas Roy, Principal JISIP has obtained her Graduation (B. Pharm.) Degree from the West Bengal University of Technology, and her Post - Graduation (M. Pharm) from the Jadavpur University. She also been awarded for Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacy (PhD in Pharmacy) from the Jadavpur University.

She is having more than 17.5 years teaching experience in established and reputed institution at West Bengal. She is also having 6.5 years of admistrative experience as Presiding officer of several examinations conducted by Jadavpur University. She had organised several Governing Body meeting and also had been engaged as University coordinator.

She has authored and co-authored several numbers of research articles in published in national and international journals. She has attended many seminars and conferences in national and international level. She had patented two bioactive anticancer molecules isolated from herbal source. She has authored one book in collaboration with Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Jadavpur University.

She had spent more than 10 years of research work in Jadavpur University and IICB, Kolkata. She had guided several PG thesis (20 nos.) and also guided PhD. Thesis.

Her area of research interest is Isolation of bioactive molecules from Natural product, Natural product chemistry, Cancer biology etc.

Presently, she has been appointed as the Principal of JIS Institute of Pharmacy to take JISIP to its new heights. With her keen ability to conduct academic programmes, research activities and administrative responsibilities Dr. Roy will definitely be an integral part in the growth of JIS Group Educational Initiatives in the Eastern part of India.
